TERRY McCONNELL
Director of Communications

A long-time journalist and the author of five books including the Canadian best-seller I’d Trade Him Again, Mr. McConnell joined Nova Oculus at its founding in 2014. A product of the communications program at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Mr. McConnell fashioned a newspaper career spanning 38 years and earned several awards of excellence at both the provincial and national levels in Canada.

At one time the publisher of three community newspapers near Windsor, Ontario, he was president of the Ontario Community Newspapers Association in 1986 and the Canadian Community Newspapers Association, a federation of more than 700 English-language newspapers across Canada, in 1993. His 38-year newspapering career concluded in 2011 with the Edmonton Journal, one of Canada’s major newspapers, where he was a popular columnist and member of the editorial board. He lives in Edmonton, Alberta.

CECILIA L. ALVARADO
Office Manager

Ms. Alvarado has been with Nova for 3 years. She manages the office operations and many procedural matters of the company.

Ms. Alvarado is a native of the Coachella Valley from Indio known for famous festivals. She is a multitasking professional with 20 years of administrative, sales and managing experience in key positions such as corporate administrative secretary.

Ms. Alvarado joined Nova Oculus during the pandemic understanding her work would be critical in maintaining the company’s forward movement through the crisis to bring our therapeutic device to market without delay.

Ms. Alvarado was excited to join and be a part of something that would help so many people.
